It's Good to Have Goals
This airport was one of the last things I saw in 2005 and as such, I figured it was a good place to revisit my '05 New Year's Resolutions. Let's see how I did.
Drink More (Water)-Good, I absolutely did this.
Drink More (Beer and Whisky)-This too. It was really a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Doing it right now in fact.
Drink Less Coke-Ah, okay. Well, it was a good thought, anyway.
Eat Less Meat-Done. No problem, really. Now my wife wants us to simultaneously become vegetarians and have me gain some weight. These things are not mutually compatible. The last time I tried to be a vegetarian (for three weeks), I lost 15 pounds and never stopped eating-not for one minute.
Take More Pictures-Well, duh.
Dunk a Basketball-What am I, 18? How did this get on the list?
Pray Every Day-Doing very well here, thank you.
Curse More-My crowning achievement of 2005. Not only did I accomplish this task, but I think it has rubbed off on my wife as well. A worthy goal if ever there was one.
All in all, that's not bad. Now, I wonder what I should do in 2006...

I think, as a result of your blog, I've decided that you're one of my heroes now. I'm going to add this statement to all of my letters for you: "It isn’t often that a teacher can look to a student as a role model. That is the way it is for me with Josh; to know him is to be swept up in his enthusiasm, moved by his sensitivity and inspired by his compassion. I have known Josh in a wide variety of capacities: as his employer, as his advisor, and, perhaps most importantly, as his friend."
I do believe that's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. Thank you, Nathan.
