If you look closely just on the other side of the river you'll see a stage. I'll be attending a Robert Earl Keen concert there on Thursday night. I just went to see Lyle Lovett at the Ryman on Sunday, and when my friends and I were talking about it they of course asked me if it was good. A perfectly normal question, but to me it's weird. I think of concerts like a friendship. It's always good to see a friend, and you'll make time for them whenever they're in town. Some visits are better than others, but you would never ditch them unless, of course, they let you down and treated you bad a lot of times. Well REK hasn't done me wrong yet, so it's on to my 8?, 9?, 10? concert of his. Do I want to go? Sure, but that's beside the point. It's more about continuing the relationship. I mean, if I was going to Austin, he'd make time to see me. Right?
