These Four Walls

These Four Walls, originally uploaded by jryanpackard.

This blog doesn't usually get personal, but here goes. Sometimes I need to move beyond the walls I've constructed for my life. I don't usually make this decision, It's sort of just made for me. All of a sudden I just have an overwhelming feeling that things need to change. But the change is not normal, rearrange your living room change, it's big, unknown and therefore scary. What's especially weird to me about this is that it isn't a change that would be noticed by many people at all, just a change in the way that I think, how I percieve my world, and what I think about. And I'm never sure to what extent I should give in to these thoughts, follow them to their conclusion. I've read "Zen and the Art of Motorcylce Maintenance," and while I LOVED it, it scared the hell out of me. How far down the rabbit hole would you be willing to go in pursuit of an idea or a vision? How do you decide if it's worth it?

'Member that time you had a full beard and then shaved it? ... You could go either way on that one (shave or grow). That would be a change.

yes, it would. I'll have to keep that in mind. Maybe we could each try and grow a beard and see who can get one first. I'll bet you a billion dollars that I win.
