Blue Bell

I've written about Blue Bell before, and now the "Little Creamery in Brenham" is coming to Nashville. There are two local dairy farms here already, but Blue Bell sees an opening. Here's what I don't get. If you're making money, employing people and putting out a quality product, isn't that enough? What's this fascination we have with growth? It's not like Nashville has a need for Blue Bell. Couldn't they have just left the other creameries to make their money? Don't get me wrong, I love Blue Bell, it's a part of all my fondest memories from childhood, but it's getting harder and harder to protest the Wal-Marts of the world and still have Homeade Vanilla for dessert.

For this picture, perhaps you should have gotten a keg sized container of Blue Bell and placed two pint sized containers from local creameries in its shadow. And let the pint sized containers sit around and melt for a while and then gouge holes in their sides and mix in some red food coloring so it looks like they're bleeding to death.
Is there room on this blog for a creative consultant of my expertise?
Of course there is room for suggestion. I love the fact that you're so involved. Of course, the extent to which suggestions are acted upon varies directly with the quality of said suggestion. So keep coming back to find out if your suggestion was a good one.
